June 25, 2020: I was interviewed by Ron Blessing at the PEGshow about my upcoming setting for The Savage Sign #2, Islands of Fire.
February 4, 2019: I was interviewed by the folks at The Savage Cast for my work on The Savage Sign.
December, 2018: I joined the upcoming magazine The Savage Sign as a writer/developer, helping to produce new settings, adventures, and other content for the Savage Worlds RPG.
November, 2018: I was formally announced as the co-author of the Fires of Ra mega-adventure for Torg Eternity, part of the Nile Empire Kickstarter.
July 14, 2017: I’m now being represented by Beth Marshea of Ladderbird Literary Agency! She will be looking for a home for my new novel, Sun Dogs, as well as handling my screenplays (I have one for my self-published novel, A Chant of Love and Lamentation, as well as The White Witch of Rose Hall, set in plantation-era Jamaica).
Second, I’m now the Fiction Editor for the literary journal Sand Hill Review. This was the journal who took my first published story (“Wild Horses”) and who nominated that same work for a Pushcart. SHR has been very good to me, and I’m happy to give back as they make some new exciting changes to their format.
January 20, 2013: “Her Fruitful Shore” has been accepted to appear in the inaugural edition of Spark: A Creative Anthology. It should be out this coming summer.
October 28, 2012: “Wild Horses” has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize by the editors of Sand Hill Review.
September 16, 2012: Chant is reviewed in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser by hawaiireads.com’s Misty-Lynn Sanico.
June 14, 2012: My entry in the ABNA contest is mentioned in the Portland Tribune.
June 12, 2012: My interview with the Mod Podge Bookshelf is up! My favorite question was about what it was like receiving news that I was a finalist.
June 11, 2012: Chant is mentioned in a blog entry on Disappeared News about Hawai`i’s dangerous lack of preparedness for economic disaster.
June 10, 2012: Chant was discussed in an article in the Sunday edition of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. The article, by Steven Mark, focuses on the book’s entry in the contest, my experiences in Hawai`i, and the delicate nature of the subject matter.
